Advocacy 101 Training, February 26
Being a hospital advocate is crucial to the success of IHA advocacy efforts and communicating face-to-face with legislators is the best way to share the hospital story. However, this can be a daunting and intimidating task, especially for those who may not be as familiar with the legislative process. That’s why IHA has organized an Advocacy 101 Training to prepare hospital advocates on how to properly engage with their representatives at the Capitol. Facilitated by IHA lobbyists, this training will review key talking points and IHA priorities and help advocates understand how to call out and effectively communicate with their legislators. Participants will be fully prepared to advocate on behalf of Iowa’s hospitals the following morning at Hospital Day on the Hill.
